Job summary
Bramley Village Health and Wellbeing Centre is a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice in Bramley, Leeds, committed to offering the highest quality primary health care to our patients. Our vision is to be a valued, trusted, and reliable partner across the local health and social care economy. Everything we do is guided by our mission to help patients live longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives.
We are looking for a warm, skilled, and reliable Phlebotomistto join our clinical team. This is a rewarding role at the heart of what we do, supporting patients through long-term condition reviews, QOF monitoring, and medicines management blood testing, all of which directly contribute to the quality of care our patients receive.
Your primary base will be Bramley Village Health and Wellbeing Centre, with occasional clinics at our Middleton Park Surgery site. Whether you're working with a patient who needs reassurance before a blood test or ensuring samples reach the lab accurately and on time, your contribution will be felt every day.
This is a permanent role of up to 37.5 hours per week, and represents a clear, valued position on our nursing and clinical support ladder, recognised for the expertise phlebotomy genuinely requires.
If you share our values and want to be part of a practice that genuinely cares about its patients and its people, we'd love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
As our Phlebotomist / GPA, your day-to-day will centre on delivering high-quality blood tests for patients attending long-term condition reviews, QOF clinics, and medicines monitoring appointments. You'll work closely with our nursing team, ensuring samples are accurately labelled, processed, and dispatched to the lab without delay.
Alongside your phlebotomy work, you'll support the smooth running of our clinical sessions preparing rooms, assisting with basic observations, and providing chaperoning when needed. You'll also play an important role in keeping our cold chain, fridge monitoring, and equipment checks up to date.
This is a hands-on, patient-facing role where no two days are exactly the same and where your work directly supports the clinical outcomes of our registered patients.
About us
Here's a suggested response for that field:
Bramley Village Health and Wellbeing Centre, Middleton Park Surgery, and Cottingley Surgery together form a close-knit group of three GP surgeries serving approximately 17,500 patients across west Leeds. Each site has its own identity and community roots, but works collaboratively under shared clinical and operational leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality primary care.
Our practices form part of Fuller & Forbes Healthcare Group, a growing healthcare organisation with a network of GP surgeries operating across the UK. This means our staff benefit from the support, development opportunities, and resources of a larger organisation, while still enjoying the warm, community-focused environment that makes each of our sites special.
