Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide highquality general medical care to registered patients, including:
- Facetoface, telephone, and online consultations
- Diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
- Undertake routine and urgent clinical appointments in line with the agreed sessions
- Manage and review clinical correspondence, pathology results, and reports
- Prescribe safely and costeffectively in accordance with local and national guidelines
OnCall / Duty Doctor Responsibility
(Essential Requirement)- Act as the oncall / duty GP for one day per week (or on a rota basis)
- Responsibilities typically include:
- Managing sameday urgent clinical requests
- Providing clinical advice and supervision to the wider clinical team
- Reviewing and triaging urgent results and clinical messages
- Supporting the safe management of unplanned patient demand
