As an experienced Phlebotomist you will be working in the Nursing Team, acting within your professional boundaries at Meon Health Practice.
Main duties of the job
This role will be to undertake and record venepuncture following evidence-based national and clinical governance principles.You will ensure samples are stored in appropriate containers with accurate, legible labelling to confirm patients identity.

- Ensure the patient is comfortable and relaxed as possible and confirming their agreement to the collection of a blood sample
- Collection of samples of blood in accordance with training and procedures
- Ensuring each sample is stored in appropriate containers
- Accurate, legible labelling of all samples to confirm identity
- Checking patient identification and confirming whenever possible
- Recording collection of blood samples in a patient record in accordance with The Networks procedure
- Ensuring the samples are dispatched to the appropriate laboratories in a timely fashion
- Ensuring that anomalies are reported to a senior member of staff
- Notifying the clinical team of any significant patient issues
