Health Care Assistant

Job summary

Woodlands Health Centre is a busy, GP surgery in Paddock Wood, Kent. We are looking for an energetic, dedicated and caring Health Care Assistant to join our friendly nursing team. The successful candidate will be patient focused who has a desire to make a difference to the lives of our patients.

The HCA will be working under the direct supervision of our Nurse Lead and strictly in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols.

Ideally you will have had experience of working in Primary Care however full training will be given to the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

NHS Health Checks

Phlebotomy

ECGs

B12 injections

Clear and restock clinical consulting rooms

Ensure vaccines and cold chain storage monitoring and recording is carried out as per policies and protocols.

Help to raise awareness of health and well being and how it can be promoted.

We are part of the Tonbridge Primary Care Network and are supported by a fantastic team of clinical pharmacists, First Contact Physios, Paramedics, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators.
