Job summary
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic
practice at an important moment. Wells Health Centre is looking for an
experienced, values-driven Senior Business Manager to lead the management of
one of Somerset's most established GP practices.
This is the most senior management role in the practice. You will be
accountable to the partnership, work alongside a committed Clinical Lead
Partner, and lead a capable management team through a period of deliberate,
well-planned development.

Our current Practice Manager is retiring. This
is not a like-for-like replacement. This is a new role, for a new chapter. If

Main duties of the job
Leadership
and management
Line manage the Finance Manager, Pharmacy Lead and
Reception Team Lead. Create the conditions in which they and their teams
thrive. Act as the named, neutral point of contact for staff raising people
or workplace concerns.
HR
and workforce
Own the people management of the practice, from
recruitment and induction through to performance, development, sickness
management and wellbeing.
Quality
and governance
Hold the practice's quality framework, CQC compliance and
regulatory readiness. Own the policy suite, complaints process, SEAs and
patient experience activity including the PPG.
Strategy
and partnerships
Work with the partnership to develop and deliver the
practice's strategic direction. Represent the practice in PCN, ICB and
stakeholder forums. Manage external relationships including solicitors and
the practice's system interface.
Clinical
interface
Work collaboratively across clinical, management and
administrative teams to ensure robust systems and processes are in place for
exceptional service delivery.
Digital,
premises and H&S
Hold strategic oversight of information governance,
digital compliance, the practice website and social media. Ensure premises
management and Health and Safety obligations are actively met.
