Job Summary:
To provide 37.5 hours a week administrative support to the GP partners and other Health Professionals and Managers.
Training will be provided to the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Summary of Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To work as an autonomous administrator working with the Administration Team and responsible to the Systems & Administration Manager and GP Partners.
- Extraction of necessary data from clinical correspondence and input into electronic patient record.
- To carry out medical records summarising of newly registered patients.
- To provide support to the Systems and Admin Manager with Information Governance.
- To assist with the management of the practice generic email account.
- Responsible for the administration of incoming laboratory results.
- Ensure backups are taken in accordance with practice procedure.
- Ensure security of data at all times.

- Ability to use the required Microsoft office packages.
- Recent clerical experience.
- Has a planned and organised approach with an ability to prioritise their own workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Standard keyboard/PC skills.
- Has attention to detail, able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily.
- Excellent understanding of data protection and confidentiality issues.
Desirable
- Experience in scanning and /or clinical coding in primary or other healthcare setting.
- Computer literate with an ability to use the required GP clinical system.
- Experience of EMIS / DOCMAN
- Experience of EZ Docs System

- GCSE Maths & English to Grade C or equivalent (or 4-9)
