Main duties of the job
You will provide a mix of enhanced administrative support and basic clinical assistance, under the supervision of the Management team and Partners. Your core purpose is to release clinician time to focus on direct patient care and complex decision-making by taking ownership of tasks that support safe, efficient patient pathways and the smooth running of the practice.
Working closely with the GP Partners and Practice Manager, you will support the delivery of practice and PCN priorities through a broad range of duties appropriate to your training and competency. These may include preparing and organising clinical information, coordinating elements of patient journeys (for example tests, referrals and follow-up), contributing to management of health records and recall processes, and providing targeted administrative support for agreed projects to optimise patient care and ensure local practice protocols are met.
