Hanham Health is looking for a dynamic Senior Practice Manager to join our forward-thinking organisation and lead the delivery of high-quality services across our four GP practices: Hanham, Oldland, Almondsbury and Pilning.

This is a pivotal senior leadership role for an accomplished professional with a strong background in Primary Care or the NHS, and a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams within complex healthcare environments. You will play a vital part in shaping the future of our services, ensuring our practices run safely, efficiently and effectively, while delivering excellent patient care and maintaining the highest standards of governance and compliance.

Working closely with our Partners and senior leadership team, you will drive strategic development across all sites, champion staff wellbeing, and support strong financial and operational performance. Main duties of the job

The Senior Practice Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across four GP practices, ensuring the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of services for patients. The post-holder will lead multidisciplinary teams, promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture while maintaining strong governance, risk management and compliance with CQC, NHS and legislative standards.

They will oversee the coordination of clinical and operational services, supporting team leads with workforce planning, service development and performance improvement, and driving a culture of continuous learning, safety and quality. The role includes accountability for financial oversight, working closely with the business manager to manage budgets, contracts, income streams and reporting requirements such as QOF and enhanced services, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability.

The Senior Practice Manager will lead on workforce management, including performance, development, wellbeing and retention, ensuring safe staffing levels across all sites. They will also build and maintain strong external relationships, acting as a key point of contact for system partners including NHSE, ICB and PCN, representing the practices at external forums and supporting collaborative working to enhance patient care and service delivery.
