This post is an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist or existing Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our integrated team covering the Fast Track Frail Elderly Unit, working as part of skilled and motivated Inpatient team providing inter-disciplinary care in the assessment and treatment of patients.

It is well recognised that the Frail Elderly deteriorate with long hospital admissions and this role involves working alongside Physiotherapists and supported by Therapy Assistants on this unit which concentrates on the early assessment and implementation of treatments, supporting a safe and effective discharge into the community services.

The post holder will also support and provide supervision of Band 5 and undergraduate Occupational Therapists working within the team. We are keen to promote collaborative practice and to develop staff with supervision within a supportive and friendly environment and where training opportunities are available.

The Occupational Therapy Service, as part of the integrated Rehabilitation Service with the Physiotherapy Service, aims to provide a progressive, forward thinking approach to patient care whilst able to support its staff in personal development and continued education and training. Our staff have excellent clinical and teaching backgrounds and are able to build on your existing skills and knowledge.
