We are currently looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated ICT Engineer to join our 3rd Line Network & Unified Communications Team.

Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service (NHIS) provides Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICT) across the NHS and Local Health Community.

We provide expertise and capability, effectively delivering National and Local ICT requirements, and to continually research and innovate in an effort to provide technologies that enable our customers to do things better, or to do better things.

The post holder will work within the Technical Service Delivery and Support Services Strategic Business Unit and will be responsible for the delivery and support of high quality Cisco and Sophos based network equipment as well as Mitel IP telephony and unified communications services across the Local Health Community. This includes ownership and completion of tasks so that our customers receive excellent customer service.

For this role we are particularly interested in knowledge and experience in a combination of the following areas:

* Cisco (Routers, Switches, ISE, Wireless, Nexus & Firewall) products
* Sophos firewall products
* Routing protocols, and strong analytical skills
* Wireless technologies and deployment thereof
* Mitel MCD & virtual MCD platforms
* Unified Communications Platforms inc Mitel UCA / Skype for Business
* Understanding of SIP technologies
* Understanding of security implications and applications
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with 3rd parties and vendors

The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement. Not all of the above criteria is essential as the post holder will become part of a multi-disciplinary technical solutions team and must be willing to learn and share new and existing skill sets.

Prior experience of working in a technical environment diagnosing technical faults and problem solving is required. The post holder will also be required to travel throughout the health community to meet the needs of the service; therefore access to a vehicle is essential.
