Buckinghamshire NHS trust consists of two main sites Stoke Mandeville & Wycombe Hospital where we strive to create a technical workforce that is dynamic, flexible and patient focused.

This position has arisen from a career progression. The core dispensary team across sites currently consists of 1 band 7 dispensary team leader, 2 band 6 dispensary managers, 2 band 5 rotational technicians and 2 higher level assistants with the addition to many rotational staff.

You will be supporting the dispensary Manger in the smooth running of the dispensary, along with supervising a team of Rotational technicians, student technicians, SATO(s) and assistant(s) providing a great opportunity to gain experience of managing and training a small team or providing an opportunity to develop the skills of someone who already maintains a small team.

This role offers a funded national recognised training course to become an Accredited Pharmacy Checking Technician & to develop in Medicines Optimisation role.

You will have the opportunity to gain leadership, management and mentoring skills, with key responsibilities in ensuring good standard operating procedures and governance, providing essential support to the developing pharmacy services and the clinical pharmacist’s teams.
