Who we are

Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) is responsible for providing community health service for over 500,000 people living across the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond-Upon-Thames.

Community Healthcare covers most of the services that are provided outside of hospital or GP surgeries. We are passionate about delivering high quality care and provide a range of services for both adults and children including community nursing, health visiting, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, health promotion and stop smoking services, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy. We also provide some specialist services such as audiology, neuro-rehabilitation, continence services and continuing care.

Some of our services such as the Walk-in Centre at Teddington Memorial Hospital and the Hounslow Urgent Care Centre attract patients from nearby boroughs and we also run services further afield such as the LiveWell and stop smoking services in the London boroughs of Sutton and Merton.

We currently have the opportunity for two full-time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists to join our innovative and well supported Richmond paediatric SLT team. The posts are permanent and we welcome applications from therapists with experience from a range of settings including working in primary/secondary mainstream schools; and/or special schools and units; and/or early years settings/clinics/children's centres.

Richmond Speech and Language Therapy Service is a well-established, integrated and supportive team and is jointly commissioned by Health and Education. We offer a programme of group and individual supervision which varies according to the experience and needs of individual members of staff and we strongly support continual professional development.

The applicants should be able to demonstrate an ability to work flexibly, using their initiative to deliver a responsive and quality service. They should be able to work effectively as part of a wider team and have experience working with children/young people aged between 0 and 19 years, including those with additional needs, as well as with their families and key professionals.

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

Degree and professional Speech and Language Therapy qualification
Registered with Health and Care Professions Council
Registered with Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
Ability to travel between different locations.
