Who we are

Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) is responsible for providing community health service for over 500,000 people living across the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond-Upon-Thames.

Community Healthcare covers most of the services that are provided outside of hospital or GP surgeries. We are passionate about delivering high quality care and provide a range of services for both adults and children including community nursing, health visiting, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, health promotion and stop smoking services, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy. We also provide some specialist services such as audiology, neuro-rehabilitation, continence services and continuing care.

Some of our services such as the Walk-in Centre at Teddington Memorial Hospital and the Hounslow Urgent Care Centre attract patients from nearby boroughs and we also run services further afield such as the LiveWell and stop smoking services in the London boroughs of Sutton and Merton.

The Hounslow Occupational Therapy Department is looking for a motivated, dynamic therapist to join the Children’s Therapy Team. You will join an established team of Occupational Therapists working in an integrated service with Children’s Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy.

We are looking to recruit an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our paediatric therapy team.

Your role will entail working with school aged children in clinic as well as at schools, and organising OT input primarily in mainstream primary and secondary schools as part of the OT Spot Commission service. This service provides OT input at school to meet the Education, Health and Care needs of student’s as well as providing assessments, developing programmes and training and upskilling TA’s and school staff.

The post holder would be based at Heart of Hounslow and will have to commute to schools within/outside the borough.

You will also form part of the Leadership Team with two other Band 7 Specialist OT’s.

The post holder will be expected to undertake clinical assessments and provide intervention including seating and postural management, sensory programmes, fine and gross motor development, self-care and handwriting programmes.
The post is mainly autonomous; however the Occupational Therapy Team are able to offer:
