Who we are

Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust (HRCH) is responsible for providing community health service for over 500,000 people living across the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond-Upon-Thames.

Community Healthcare covers most of the services that are provided outside of hospital or GP surgeries. We are passionate about delivering high quality care and provide a range of services for both adults and children including community nursing, health visiting, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, health promotion and stop smoking services, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy. We also provide some specialist services such as audiology, neuro-rehabilitation, continence services and continuing care.

Some of our services such as the Walk-in Centre at Teddington Memorial Hospital and the Hounslow Urgent Care Centre attract patients from nearby boroughs and we also run services further afield such as the LiveWell and stop smoking services in the London boroughs of Sutton and Merton.

Highly Specialist Physiotherapist in Community Neuro-rehabilitation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Physiotherapist with highly specialist skills in Community Neuro-rehabilitation to join our existing team. A vacancy has arisen because of a promotion for the present post holder. Richmond CNRT/ESD offers a multi-disciplinary approach which meets the needs of patients with Neurological conditions, including opportunities to work with people discharged home early following a stroke. You need to be a physiotherapist who has experience in Community neuro-rehabilitation as well as supervisory and teaching skills. You will have the opportunity to work at Richmond Rehabilitation Unit, as well as in patients’ own homes and other appropriate settings to facilitate rehabilitation. Supervision of Band 5 and Band 6 Physiotherapists, Assistants and Students at all levels is a requirement of the post.

Candidates should have:

    • HCPC Registration

    • A car, and be prepared to use it for work (keen cyclists also considered)

    • Relevant post graduate practical experience in the NHS as a band 6 Physiotherapist including experience working in neuro-rehabilitation and people with long term conditions including

Successful candidates for this post will need to be self- motivated, forward thinking and committed to this area of specialism with experience and skills as outlined in the personal specification. Excellent time management is required. Support and personal development is given through an established supervision and appraisal structure. The department also has a protected time policy to support continual professional development.
