Our Trust is a great place to work and we are keen to ensure that all our employees have the right values in order that we can provide the best service to our patients. These values are very important to us, and as a potential candidate you should be made aware that we test for these throughout the whole assessment/recruitment and selection process, and will only interview and recruit individuals who demonstrate these values through their application and behaviour.

Do you have excellent organisational, communication and attention to detail skills?

Are you able to act on your own initiative, adapt to new situations, and enjoy working in and contributing to the work of a team? If so this may be the job for you.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small team providing support for fixed and mobile telephony systems to our staff across the county.

The role will provide an excellent opportunity for you to develop skills in a variety of Telecommunications support areas. Duties will be varied and will include the maintenance of electronic records in relation to telephony, ordering, installation, and configuration of telephony devices and systems, and assisting and advising staff with telephony faults and queries.

It is essential applicants have recent experience in a Telecoms or IT support role, GCSE (Grade A-C) or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language and further education or training in a technology related subject. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word is also essential.

The role will involve both remote support and on-site working across the county, so the ability to travel between sites is necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: All new appointments are subject to 6 months’ probation period.

If the same or similar vacancy arises within the recruitment period of this post or up to 3 months afterwards, the Trust may chose not to re advertise, but to select a suitable candidate from this interview pool. The new post may differ in terms of the base, hours available (full or part time) or contract type (permanent or fixed term) and therefore you are encouraged to apply for advertised posts but specify on your application form your preferences.

In the event of exceptionally high levels of response, we reserve the right to close the post before the date stated in order to prevent the number of applications received being unmanageable. You are advised to submit your completed application as soon as possible to have the best chance of being considered.

Applicants must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.

**If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, it will be a condition of your employment that you have subscribed and continue to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. New employees to the Trust are required to pay the fee for the initial DBS check (this will be deducted from their first months’ salary) and the annual subscription (£13) to the DBS Update Service. Internal applicants are required to pay the annual subscription fee only (£13). Further information on the update service can be found on our website link ‘DBS Update Service.’

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
