The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.



Locum SpR in Clinical Genetics – 6 months with a view to extension to one year

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an interest in training in Clinical Genetics for a 6 month SpR locum post to cover maternity leave (with a view to extension to one year).

The Oxford Clinical Genetics Service is based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. We provide genetic diagnosis and genetic counselling for families affected by genetic conditions living in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Northamptonshire and the Swindon area of Wiltshire.

This one year post will have a mixed caseload of adult and paediatric general genetics, cancer genetics. The post will involve local and peripheral clinics and the opportunity to participate in some specialist clinics. We will provide support for further personal and professional development.
