The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.

BSc Hons Midwifery

21 month post experience (second registration for adult nurses) degree programme.

Oxford Brookes University, with practice placements at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Entry criteria:

    • Hold a Diploma or (preferably) a Degree in adult nursing.
    • Are registered on the NMC Register as a Registered Nurse (adult).
    • Have worked full-time in clinical practice as a Registered Nurse caring for adults for at least 6 months in the year prior to the course (or equivalent).
    • Are employed in one of the following areas:
      • Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
      • Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust
      • NHS Trust located in Thames Valley
      • Other UK NHS Trust
    • Applicants whose first language is not English will also be required to evidence IELTS with a minimum language pass of level 7 in all areas.

Salary- A4C Band 5

For September 2018 entry, salary support will be funded by Health Education England Thames Valley.

Interview candidates should bring proof of their nursing qualification, such as a certificate, including a transcript if they undertook a degree course, to their interview.
