The Disabilities Trust is a leading national charity, providing innovative care, rehabilitation and support solutions for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities as well as children and adults with autism.

The Disabilities Trust is recruiting for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our clinical team at our acquired brain injury service Ty Aberdafen, located in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire (Wales).

Ty Aberafen is an acquired brain injury unit which can accommodate up to 24 adults. This unit offers a range of high quality assessment and rehabilitation options for people with complex psychological and physical needs following an acquired brain injury.

As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will provide clinical services at a high level of expertise, supporting and advising colleagues on all issues concerned with neuropsychological clinical practice. You will provide strategic professional leadership within Ty Aberdafen by ensuring the planning and development of a systematic response to the service needs. You will formulate and implement plans for brain injury rehabilitation and assess adults with neurological disease or injury, utilizing information from a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methodologies.

What are we looking for?

Suitable applicants will need to have a post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychologist (or equivalent) accredited by BPS and hold a HCPC registration.

Applicants will have extensive experience within Clinical Neuropsychology/Brain Injury Rehabilitation and experience of managing qualified clinical psychologists and other clinical staff.

Salary: up to £75,000

Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours
