Speech and Language Therapist, Band 7 Advanced Speech and Language Therapist. Hull and East Riding Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service.

Are you ready for the next step in your career as a speech and language therapist in a forward thinking and dynamic organisation?

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist with proven experience of working with patients with complex acquired communication and swallowing disorders in the community including stroke. The successful candidate will work as an influential and integral member of our Integrated Community Stroke Service and our Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy team, leading on service improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of junior speech and language therapy and assistant staff. The post is supported by the Speech and Language Therapy Team Lead and the Professional Lead for Speech and Language Therapy.

The post offers the opportunity to lead on and develop inpatient stroke rehabilitation in our community stroke unit in Hull, where you will be supported by assistant staff to enable the intensive delivery of speech and language therapy for clients whilst they are on the unit. In addition you will manage a more varied community caseload within the Hull and East Riding Adult Speech and Language therapy Service.

Experience of electronic record keeping would be an advantage.

The organisation is fully committed to staff development and a robust supervision and appraisal system is in place.

Part-time hours will be considered.
