The post holder will assist the Medical Workforce Team Leaders in providing a coordinated approach to all aspects of operational medical staffing activities and will be the daily line management support for the band 3 Medical Workforce administrators.

The appointee will be responsible for providing support for all medical recruitment and retention activities and liaison with a range of stakeholders on employment matters for the medical workforce.

The successful applicant must have gained experience in a medical staffing or an operational HR role with connections to medical staffing issues and be able to demonstrate effective planning and organisational skills and be adept at communicating with Managers and Clinicians at a range of levels.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrable experience of using NHS Jobs, rota management systems and ESR.

Based in the heart of the Black Country, The Dudley Group is the main provider of hospital and adult community services to the populations of Dudley, significant parts of the Sandwell borough and smaller, but growing, communities in South Staffordshire and Wyre Forest.

We provide a wide range of medical, surgical and rehabilitation services to a population of around 450,000 people from three hospital sites at Russells Hall Hospital, Guest Outpatient Centre in Dudley and Corbett Outpatient Centre in Stourbridge, as well as in community clinics and patients’ homes across the borough. We provide the full range of secondary services and some specialist services for the wider populations of the Black Country and West Midlands region.

The Trust is one of the top performing trusts in the country demonstrating excellent levels of patient care. This has been demonstrated with a high number of nominations and receipt of nationally recognised healthcare awards. We provide excellent care to our patients, and our three hospital sites have at least a 4 out of 5 star rating on NHS Choices. Of our inpatients who take part in the Friends and Family Test, over 96 per cent would recommend us. We have excellent staff engagement and hold regular events throughout the year that put staff at the centre of change and innovation.

The Trust currently serves a population of around 450,000 people from three hospital sites at Russells Hall Hospital, Guest Outpatient Centre in Dudley and Corbett Outpatient Centre in Stourbridge. The Trust also provides specialist adult community based care in patients’ homes and in more than 40 centres in the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council community providing excellent generic and specialist care closer to home, thereby proactively avoiding hospital admissions.

Our hospitals are among some of the most technologically advanced in the country, where state-of-the-art equipment and modern, purpose-built buildings combine to create the highest standards of patient care.
