All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) in your own time prior to any unconditional offer being made.

We are looking to employ a self motivated individual to work as part of the Domestic Team working at the Longbridge Health & Community Unit,Birmingham.

The successful applicant will be expected to work in all areas, including corridors, entrances, toilets, clinic rooms, admin areas and must be able to work alone or as part of a team, and to work flexible hours including bank holidays. (Enhanced Rates paid for weekend and bank holidays).

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

Has worked in a customer focused environment, and experience of working as part of a team.

Essential Skills

Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with a wide range of people and staff.

Able to carry out duties and complete necessary paper work to Trust requirements and standards, including work schedules with minimal day to day supervision after initial training.

Able to use a variety of cleaning machines and able to move furniture as part of cleaning duties, and carry out manual handling tasks on a regular basis.

Desirable Knowledge, Experience & skills

Previous experience of cleaning duties and standards.

Previous experience of using cleaning equipment

Previous experience of working in Mental Health/NHS.

Awareness of COSHH regulations


Based at: Longbridge Health & Community Unit, Longbridge, Birmingham

Working :12.00pm - 3.00pm Monday to Friday

If applicable to your role, the Trust will require you to sign up for the DBS Update Service. The subscription will cost you £13 a year but the Trust will cover your first year payment. You will be contractually obliged to maintain your subscription.
