An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of Senior Inpatient Physiotherapists working across our sites at Queen’s Hospital (Burton-on-Trent), Samuel Johnson Community Hospital (Lichfield) and Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital (Tamworth).

You must be well motivated with the drive to deliver high quality patient care. You would need to be able to work flexibly to deliver the service on some evenings and at weekends. In addition you will be required to contribute to the provision of an out of hours respiratory on call rota and as such this is an essential requirement of the post. You should possess Grad Dip. Phys or BSc and HCPC registration along with a strong commitment towards maintaining your own continued professional development. You must have a broad based NHS clinical experience at junior or senior level.

You will be expected to demonstrate specialised assessment skills on a diverse and complex caseload and be confident in your clinical decision making with a proven ability to provide a working diagnosis and develop an individualised treatment programme. You will need to have evidence of working effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

You will be part of our inpatient rotation programme allowing you to develop professionally and gain experience in the following specialities:

Respiratory including critical care, Medical Rehabilitation including amputees, Emergency Department Admissions Avoidance and Short Stay Unit, Surgery, Elective Orthopaedics and Community Hospital based rehabilitation including Neurology

As the post is rotational across three sites it is essential that the successful post-holder is able to travel between the different hospital sites.
