George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is a healthcare provider based in Nuneaton that provides a range of hospital and community based care across the whole of Warwickshire as well as South West Leicestershire.

The Trust operates out of the George Eliot Hospital based on the outskirts of the town in North Warwickshire. This hospital provides a range of medical, surgical, women’s and children’s services including accident and emergency, maternity and cancer services.

Community services operate across the whole of Warwickshire and include Smoking Cessation and Specialist Dentistry. The Trust also runs Tuberculosis Services for Coventry and Warwickshire. The Trust shares resources and expertise through several clinical networks for services such as cancer care, coronary heart disease, pathology and women’s and children’s services.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to manage all aspects of the Radiology Department at George Eliot Hospital. You will need to champion, lead and inspire the team. You will develop, implement and monitor working processes and policies.

You will be service focused with demonstrable skills and experience in both clinical and management techniques. Reporting to the General Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your service, whilst working with a wide range of disciplines and professionals across the organisation. The department provides a range of clinical imaging and interventional radiology services to the hospital, this includes oncology, trauma, orthopaedics, ENT, cardiac, and colonography. We have a fully equipped CT imaging suite, intervention equipment which has fully integrated CT and Ultrasound functionalities, and an MRI unit. Our film free, digital environment is provided by Insignia PACS and this can support dynamic image sharing across local Trusts.

As a department we encourage people to widen their scope of practice, we have direct links with Birmingham City University and provide clinical placements for student radiographers. All of our radiographers are committed to the delivery of high quality services to both patients and referrers, in accordance with national standards and regulatory requirements.
