Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Trust Specialty Registrar at ST4+ level to commence on 07 March 2018 for a period of 6 months. Full details of the post can be accessed in the attached job description.

This post offers the opportunity to live in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the National Forest area and the Peak District National Park is also within close vicinity. A visit to the area is encouraged to appreciate the quality of life the surrounding area can offer including:-

  • property at realistic prices

  • an excellent standard of education from both state and private schools

  • excellent road (A50/M1/M6), rail and airport links (Nottingham East Midlands, Birmingham and Manchester Airport)

  • easy access to the cities of Birmingham, Nottingham and Sheffield

    This is a Trust post and are therefore not recognised for training. However, the post holders shall be afforded the same training opportunities and programme as other Specialty Registrar doctors, providing a wide range of experience and training.

    This is a Fixed Term post and there is a 1:7 person full shift rota in operation. The National salary scale for Trust Specialty will apply.

    Please note that applicant’s must hold FULL GMC registration and a licence to practice in order to be considered for this post.

    This post is unlikely to attract a tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship. Applicants who require Tier 2 immigration status are encouraged to work through the UKBA Tier 2 Points Guidance before applying for a post.

    Applicants will be required to provide evidence to ensure that the criteria is met, prior to the issue of a Certificate of Sponsorship.
