Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit has commenced and is due to be completed 2017, and plans to extend the neonatal unit are underway.

We provide high quality, friendly and effective community health services from multiple sites covering Walsall. Our multidisciplinary services include rapid response and homebased care, so that those with long term conditions and the frail elderly can remain in their own homes.

The Rapid Response team is well established within Walsall with a fully integrated domiciliary service and excellent relationships with Social Services and the Acute Sector.

Opportunities have arisen for a Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse to join our innovative multi-disciplinary team. You must be an RGN with evidence of post registration practice at Band 5. Experience of multi-disciplinary / multi agency working is essential. You will be part of a team and have responsibility for a varied workload of rapid response service, including sub acute care in the domiciliary environment and rehabilitation, working initially under the direction of senior nurses within the Rapid Response Team. You will be working with adult Services to develop and support this client group to remain in their homes with enhanced services or access a bed-based service. You will need to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service and be able to forge strong links with partnership agencies at Social Services and Acute Trust.

Service provision is delivered between the hours of 8:30am – 10:00pm across 7 days on a pro-rota system.
