Transport Driver Advert

Location: Basildon
Salary: AfC Band 3; £16,968 to £19,852 pa + Higher Cost Area Allowance of 5% of basic salary + Shift & On-Call enhancements
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months

As a vital member of our team operating a 24/7 service you will be providing a safe and professional service, collecting and delivering blood products, equipment and staff to hospitals, blood centres and blood collection sites throughout the country. This could include emergency ‘blue light’ deliveries.

We’re looking for an experienced commercial driver holding a full UK driving licence. Category C1 or C permitting you to drive vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonnes is desirable, Category D1 and D is also preferred. You should also be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and have experience of dealing professionally with members of the public. You will be required to work evenings, weekends, nights and bank holidays on a 24/7 roster. A uniform will be provided and you will be given an induction, training and development opportunities.
