Liverpool Women’s Hospital clinical services are currently being reviewed by NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group, following work done by our clinicians in presenting a powerful case for change in the Future Generations Strategy.

Liverpool Women's Hospital NHS Trust is looking for motivated and enthusiastic midwives to join our Maternity Services Team. As one of the largest Pioneer sites this is an exciting time to join the trust as we work with the recommendations from the Better Births report.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover Maternity leave for a Band 5 or 6 midwife depending on experience. Full or part time hourswill be considered.

By joining our team you will have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of midwifery care from working on community to the low risk midwife led unit. Alternatively working on the busy postnatal ward or the high risk delivery suite. Our service is continually changing and evolving to meet the needs of the population and ensure women and their families have a positive birthing experience. We welcome innovative ways of working and new ideas. We are a very friendly and supportive team, keen to gain the best out of every midwife.

The successful candidates will be able to show excellent clinical skills in every aspect of midwifery, and combine a caring attitude, interpersonal skills and good communication with patients and all members of the multidisciplinary team.

The job will include working night shifts and weekends.
