Do you have demonstrable, practical clinical coding experience? Would you like to work for an award winning Clinical Coding Department? At CUH, we are looking to recruit qualified (ACC) Senior Coders to join the Clinical Coding function. We have a range of senior roles available including Divisional Expert Coders, Trainers and Auditors. You will provide a vital and dynamic role in the delivery of the Clinical Coding service to the Organisation. Following a change in leadership, the Clinical Coding function has an enviable high profile throughout the Trust and recently won the national CHKS Data Quality Award for Clinical Coding.

You will be directly accountable for improving and delivering coding quality through clinical engagement, ensuring the ongoing accuracy of clinical coding as well as meeting Trust’s deadlines associated with clinical coding.

You will possess the Accredited Clinical Coding (ACC) qualification, and will have demonstrable coding experience in a wide range of specialties, with a good working knowledge of HRGs and therefore be able to deal with the most complex and challenging coding. Other essential skills include excellent management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate others. Written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with Clinical Coders, Auditors, Clinicians and management are essential to build productive relationships right across the organisation.
