The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E) provides Acute and Community services across Exeter and East Devon serving a population of more than 450,000 people. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Service Manager to lead a proactive and professional Divisional Procurement team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E).

You will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to provide procurement services to one of the clinical Divisions at RD&E. The breadth of this role includes goods and services across capital, maintenance and consumables contracts. You will drive forward and lead on a range of projects, bringing energy, enthusiasm and commercial expertise to deliver excellent service provision to the clinical teams and savings for the Division and the Trust.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have strong communication and influencing skills as well as the ability to build excellent working relationships with customers and suppliers. Ideally you will have a procurement background but experience in procurement of clinical products and services are not essential. Whilst previous NHS experience is highly desirable we are keen to speak to applicants from other industries that are looking to move into another sector.

As a key member of the Procurement leadership team, you will be responsible for attending and supporting internal and external meetings across our collaborative and national partnerships. You will be adaptable and drive through positive change in an ever changing climate of improvement within the NHS. You will also be responsible for line managing, coaching and developing the Divisional Procurement team.
