Tattenham Health Centre
£22,128 - £28,746 + 5% HCA + Golden Hello pro rata

CSH Surrey is Surrey’s largest and longest established NHS community services provider (since 2006). We are part of the NHS, so our 1500+ employees get NHS pay and pensions, and also receive the Outer London ‘High Cost Allowance’ of 5%.

Our nurses, therapists and support staff provide adult community health services in the mid and north west Surrey areas, and children’s community health services for the whole of the county. Together we serve a population of more than 1 million people.

In June 2017 our services received an overall ‘Good’ rating from the CQC, with ‘Outstanding’ for how caring our teams are.

We provide excellent training and development opportunities, including the care certificate, apprenticeships, numeracy and literacy courses, access to the Nursing Associate programme, and a wide variety of management and leadership courses and programmes. We also offer a supportive preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses and a well-established rotational programme for therapists. Our nurses and therapists also benefit from access to bespoke clinical skills courses.

If you want to be part of a passionate, person-focused community service, apply to CSH Surrey today!

Are you passionate about delivering a high standard of nursing care as part of a team where your clinical skills and judgement will be valued and developed? Are you motivated by the privilege of nursing people in their own homes, by getting to know them as people and involving their family and carers in supporting them to live safely and independently? Do you like the freedom of working autonomously in the community while still being part of a supportive and experienced team?

Management modules will be available for suitable candidates to enable them to successfully apply for Band 6 post when available.

If the answer is ‘yes’, you should join CSH Surrey! Our community nursing team based at Tattenham Health Centre is looking for a full-time Staff Nurse to join them. Previous community experience would be preferable but is not essential as training can be provided. Free parking is available locally.

As a Staff Nurse you will play a key role in patient care, delivering high quality nursing that includes wound care, management of long term conditions and end of life care. Training on all of these, and more, is regularly provided through our excellent Learning and Development team.

You will be responsible for assessing patients’ needs and taking a holistic view when planning their care. This includes involving patients and their families in developing care plans, and promoting choice, self-management and independence.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively independently while also being a positive team player. In addition we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to try new ways of working to continually improve the care we provide.

The nursing team works as part of a wider multi-disciplinary Community Hub team in the Epsom Downs area that includes therapists, mental health practitioners, GPs and social care. They work together to help keep people safe and well at home and to minimise acute admissions.

In return, the successful candidate will have access to a fantastic range of training, learning and development opportunities, both internally and externally. These include a wide range of clinical courses (from dementia training and palliative care to wound care and learning from incidents) as well as leadership and management skills programmes, IT skills courses and apprenticeships up to degree level.

The team works flexible hours covering 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Sunday. Free parking is available locally.

In summary

If you want to work for a different type of NHS employer where you will be part of a supportive, experienced and friendly team, and your passion is delivering high quality, kind and compassionate care, we want to hear from you!
