This semi-rural part dispensing General Practice is looking for a doctor(s) to work 4 sessions a week.

We practice in a pleasant large village between Mold and Wrexham, about 10 miles from Chester.

Our list of patients is varied, from farmers to factory workers, commuters to stately home owners.

We have a list size of 8900 patients. We moved into a new, leased, purpose-built Health Centre in May 2016.

We have two full time Advanced Nurse Practitioners– enabling GPs to provide 15-minute appointments.

We are consistently high QOF achievers and our practice finances remain healthy thanks to our Practice Manager.

We are keen to look after each other: full time is 8 sessions a week and we take 8 weeks’ holiday a year. We cover each other and rarely need to use locums except in cases of long-term sickness.

We have no “extended hours”. However, there is plenty of work available in the local Out-of-Hours service if desired.

We teach medical students from Cardiff and are Research Accredited - we are excited about expanding this area of our work.

We are seeking an enthusiastic colleague to join our forward-thinking and supportive team. We are reasonably flexible on starting time depending on the right candidate. In the usual way we will arrange a period of mutual assessment.

For more information, or an informal chat please contact the Practice Manager – Helen Jones on 01978 763000 or

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
