ADMIN & CLERICAL NHS APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME (Non-Clinical)

FIXED-TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS

NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP PAY SCALE - £6,843 per annum

We have some fantastic opportunities if you wish to start a career within the NHS. As an Apprentice, you will undertake an administration role to support our clinical and non-clinical teams, assisting colleagues in providing the highest standards of service at all times.

You will be completing a nationally recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in the area appropriate to your role, but will also gain paid valuable work experience in an environment where you can make a difference….

All successful candidates will have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and telephone manner. A good standard of education (GCSE’s at grade A-D or equivalent) are also an essential requirement from the College to undertake your NVQ. You will be given full support and protected time to complete your apprenticeship programme as part of your working week.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday (no night shifts, weekends or Bank Holidays)

All posts are subject to NHS Employment Check Standards including a DBS check, if applicable. Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

From 1st April 2016, a charge of £39 (Standard) or £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

NB. Current employees of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who have had a satisfactory DBS check, carried out by this Trust during the last 3 years, will not be required to undertake a new one. Where staff have not had a check (classification appropriate to the post offered) within the last 3 years, they will be required to undertake and pay for this, as per the arrangements above.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
