LTHT Staffbank provides the temporary workforce solution for Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

Our Bank nurses allow us to staff the crucial bank to provide cover our Trust needs, to ensure we deliver exceptional patient experience.

The successful candidate will:

  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
  • At least 6 months experience in a clinical setting
  • Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual
  • Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards

All adverts will make reference that registration with LTHT Staffbank is subject to employment history, obtaining an enhanced DBS and reference checking. Offers of registration are therefore conditional upon the receipt of satisfactory references.

In order to apply for a post you must have a minimum of 6 months paid experience in a hospital environment within the last 2 years.

If you are offered a position, you may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. For Band 1 roles the Trust will pay the cost of the DBS checks and refund to you the cost of the update service. DBS checks for volunteers are free.

Please ensure your application is submitted with referees who can verify your employment/education history over the last three years and include valid email addresses for them. LTHT will request electronic Factual Employment References from your previous employers. These references will be requested before you are issued with an unconditional offer of employment letter.

Please note that a car parking permit or space cannot be guaranteed. The Trust operates a points based waiting list system.
