We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join the Research and Improvement team, to work as part of a dynamic team of research staff across acute and community settings within Solent Community Trust.

Due to an increase in all areas of research activity we have a vacancy for a Clinical Research Assistant on a permanent contract to work in Portsmouth supporting research in a variety of clinical services such as sexual health and older person mental health.

The post holder will work closely with members of a multi-disciplinary research team to provide them with clinical and administrative support for a portfolio of clinical studies. Responsibilities will include assisting with; patient identification, recruitment and enrolment to clinical trials, the monitoring of patients, collecting patient trial data and maintaining clinical trial records.

The work requires initiative, accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of clinical research projects within the NHS or academic/commercial settings will be desirable, but not essential as training will be given. You will work within a broad professional group, as well as members of the public and research sponsors therefore excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills will be of equal importance.
