Are you an experienced therapist or registered nurse in complex brain injury? If so an exciting opportunity has arisen.

The commissioning support unit is responsible for NHS Continuing Healthcare, Funded Nursing Care, Complex Care and the successful candidate will have enhanced knowledge of national guidance relating to these areas of work and also the Personalisation agenda.

The post-holder must have significant experience of working as a Registered Nurse or Therapist within managing patients with complex brain injury, and be able to demonstrate that they have developed the knowledge and skills in continuing health care required to work at a senior level in this specialist role. You will need to work across the multidisciplinary team in managing this complex caseload and have ability to commission complex packages of care for patients with a brain injury.

The post-holder will require highly developed verbal and written communication skills. They will require the ability to deal with a range of highly complex and challenging situations on a frequent basis and also to provide support, guidance and supervision to team members.

The post-holder will be innovative and dynamic in their approach and will require the ability to respond to the challenges of the post and be adaptable, flexible and knowledgeable with regard to changes and demands within the health and social economy

The Personalised Commissioning Team is based in the centre of Leicester, though as the post holder you will be expected to travel across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. You are welcome to come for an informal visit.
