The Estates Department are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Estates Maintenance Craftsperson Electrical to carry out planned and reactive maintenance.

Working within the Maintenance Policies & Procedures required to maintain and repair a variety of complex Electrical equipment, plant and services in conjunction with undertaking a range of duties associated with other trades, as appropriate i.e. multi-skilling.

Responsible for ensuring that the environment is both pleasant and safe for patients, staff and visitors together with maximising organisational effectiveness, that will improve service delivery.

Ensure the day to day efficient and safe working of all electrical/mechanical plant, equipment and services within the Health Boards health care establishments. This will require a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of the operation of a wide range of complex electrical/mechanical/ plant and services including but not limited to electrical motors, generator sets, plant alarm systems, washer disinfectors, sterilizers, boiler plant, ventilation plant, natural gas (Gas safe) installations, calorifiers, medical gas systems, passenger/goods lifts systems etc also a basic knowledge of other trade skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post but not essential.
