Consultant Community Paediatrician

Wiltshire

At Virgin Care Children's Services in Wiltshire we've created a working environment where everyone can really feel the difference.

It’s the kind of place where nothing's too much trouble. Where our service is seamless. Where you’ll feel good about your career, listened to, and valued. And that’s just the beginning.

Since 2006, we've delivered innovative and refreshing health and social care services to millions of people by mixing NHS quality of care with our own unique approach. And right now, we're looking for a Consultant Community Paediatrician to join our Community Paediatric Service in Wiltshire and help us continue to change things for the better.

Wiltshire Children’s Services is a new service, and you’ll look after all aspects of community paediatrics along with your colleagues - assessing children with a range of concerns, including medical assessments for the SEND process and where children have been referred via safeguarding. It will involve performing medical examinations, completing reports in line with departmental and statutory guidance, liaising with both internal and external professionals, and collaborating on case management.

You’ll need a UK recognised medical degree and ideally an MSc /diploma in community child health, current full GMC registration, a current work permit (if appropriate), MRCPCH/MRCP or equivalent, and inclusion on the specialist register. We’re also looking for at least two years’ higher specialist training in community paediatrics or equivalent, some training in all aspects of child protection assessment and health assessments, and a good understanding of multi-disciplinary, inter-professional practice in a primary care and social services setting.

But what’s in it for you? Well, we offer a competitive salary and NHS pension, and lots of support, training and development including our innovation fund. Plus, there’s a range of great perks including up to 40% off Virgin products and services like train travel, and flexible working patterns that can help anyone perfect their work/life balance.

So join us. It's time you felt the difference, too.

If you’d like to learn more about the opportunities we can provide, or even want to pop along for an informal visit we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Dr Kate Martin,
