We are seeking to recruit a Dental Officer to work within the Kent Community Health NHS Trust Dental Services. This service is commissioned to provide Community, Prison and General Dental services in Kent, and London. The Service compliments general and hospital dental services and involves multi-agency working to provide a range of quality dental services. The range of services includes Sedation, Special Needs, General Anaesthetics, and Routine /Emergency dental care among other dental specialities.

This post is based at HMP Swaleside and the post holder will be required to work 3 days a week within Her Majesty's prison services within Kent and immigration removal centres at Heathrow, and 2 days a week delivering a domiciliary service pan Kent.

You will be a dentist with a dental degree registrable in the UK, and have a current registration with the GDC, a committed clinician able to provide flexible high quality dental care and committed to providing dental care for individuals who are unable to access dental services, including those with special needs or other priority groups.

All applicants must hold full registration with the GDC and be eligible for a PCT Performer number.

All surgeries are fully computerised and have full chair side support. IT training on the software system can be provided, as well as financial help with CPD.

For Agenda for Change posts based within the Dartford, Gravesham & Swanley areas of Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust also receive an allowance of a 5% high cost area allowance on top of basic salary up to a maximum of £1,682. Please note that this element does not apply to bank positions.
