Do you want to work somewhere where the heads of nursing and midwifery purpose is ‘senior clinical leadership influencing professionalism and creating a culture where staff feel cared for, enabling them to care.’

We are looking for two Band 6 midwives with relevant experience to join our Newtown/Welshpool midwifery team in North Powys.

We currently have two permanent 30-hour posts based in North Powys.

You will be joining a service with one of the highest home birth rates in Wales, a high physiological birth rate and high breastfeeding rates. You will also support women choosing to use one of our three free standing birth centres, which provide water birth facilities and provide and coordinate antenatal and postnatal care for high risk women.

As a service, we are also passionate about supporting midwives to be the best they can and you will have the opportunity to access award winning training and support during your employment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.

With effect from 1st April 2017 points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on AfC Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2 will be adjusted to £16,523 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage £8.45 per hour.
