An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band B Senior Dental Officer Post for our Special Care Dental Service within the Solent NHS Trust.

Are you enthusiastic, flexible, reliable team player with excellent communication skills?

We are looking for an experienced and motivated dentist to join our dynamic Special Care Dental Service to deliver routine and urgent dental care to patients, adults and children who are unable to access care in the General Dental Services due to their additional needs. These might include challenging medical conditions, physical disability, mental disability, learning difficulties, special dental conditions, social and behavioural limitations, domiciliary dental needs, anxiety management and bariatric care.

Care will be provided to patients referred to or under the long-term care of the service, under local anesthesia, inhalation, intravenous or intranasal sedation and general anesthesia where appropriate

We are offering the chance to work in our dental surgeries with support of experienced dental nurses and Therapists to assist you in achieving your UDA target and working within NHS Regulations.

You will also receive support with mandatory training and CPD.

There will be opportunities for the post holder to develop special interests and they will be supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated team, including Specialists in Special Care Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry and GA/Sedation.

You are required to be GDC registered and have an active performer number.
