Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated on the Fylde Coast just a 45 minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary services in haematology, cystic fibrosis, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. We employ more than 6,500 staff, have approximately 900 beds and have a planned turnover in excess of £410m for 2017/2018.

Exciting opportunities have arisen within theManagement AccountsDepartment based at Blackpool Teaching Hospital fora finance apprentice.

The successful candidate will provide support within the Finance Department and will learn the functions of the Finance Department and how this supports and promotes the delivery of world class healthcare to patients.

The ideal candidate must also be numerate, show initiative, have the ability to work to tight schedules, an efficient telephone manner and appropriate keyboard skills.

Due to the current Government eligibility criteria for Government funded apprenticeship schemes, we are currently only able to accept applications from candidates who have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years, and who are not already in any form of Government funded education.

An initial assessment will be completed before interviews to ascertain what Level Numeracy, Literacy and ICT you are currently working at to ensure you are eligible to undertake an apprentice programme.

.As part of the Apprenticeship you will be expected to undertake level 2 AAT distant learning from April – September then start level 3 in September.
