We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacist to be the professional lead for the Cytotoxic Dispensing Facility in the heart of purpose built flagship Northern Centre for Cancer Care (NCCC). As the Senior Production Pharmacist, you will work with the Section Lead to manage our team of production pharmacists and experienced technical staff in aseptic preparation of chemotherapy for adult oncology and haematology patients at NCCC.

As the unit at NCCC is a satellite of the main production unit, you will be responsible for ensuring continuity across both sites and will assist the Accountable Pharmacist in delivering a consistent approach to Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, Staff training and methods of working.

You will work closely with the PPU Senior Team, the Technical Lead at NCCC, and senior clinical pharmacy and nursing staff to optimise capacity and output to meet patient need. Working with our production/clinical trials teams you will support research and advances in therapy in providing for a large portfolio of chemotherapy clinical trials. You will be responsible for building on our excellent reputation, delivering a high quality service working within established pharmaceutical quality systems to maintain service delivery in response to changing aseptic preparation standards. This post provides the ideal opportunity to develop on previous production/oncology experience, gain further management and leadership experience and expand knowledge in oncology and aseptic dispensing.
