Salary: £40,428 - £48,514 pro rata (Agenda for Change Band 8 a) Subject to NHS Terms and Conditions of Service Contract 2018

37.5 hours per week. Permanent Full Time.

This is an exciting time to be joining the NEAS Procurement Team, as we embark on a journey to modernise our procurement systems and practices.We are therefore looking to appoint a motivated and high-achieving procurement specialist to lead our procurement team and deliver a Procurement function that is visable, influential within the organisation and provides value for money.

You will be the senior procurement specialist, responsible for leading on complex and high value contracts and presenting the outcomes to the Board.In addition you will lead on innovation and service improvement to provide seem-less electronic procurement and supply chain from requisitioning by the end user to delivery, distribution and payment. To ensure the service we deliver meets the required standards the successful applicant will be required to progress our achievement of procurement accreditation.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Trust and our subsidiary organisation, engaging with them to review current practice, identify areas to develop and achieve better value for money which we can be re-invested into patient care.

You will also represent the Trust on national groups and be influential on the decisions made.

As well as the MCIPS qualification and significant procurement experience, you will need to be an effective communicator, possess excellent analytical skills, have a methodical approach and be prepared to take ownership and accountability for the work of the team.
