Please be aware that the NHS Jobs standard and medical application forms have been updated textually in a couple of areas. This is to ensure that the service remains up to date with regards to the NHS Employment Check Standards which outline the employment checks that NHS organisations (across England) must be aware of, and act upon.
To bring the application form in line with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 there have been some textual changes made within the Monitoring Information section regarding the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
To bring the application form in line with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirement for NHS organisations to obtain a full employment history, the advice for applicants has been updated in the employment history and references sections.
Always check each section of the form thoroughly to ensure that your application is complete and your answers are relevant to the vacancy for which you are applying.
If you have any comments or questions about this or any other aspect of NHS Jobs, please use the feedback form provided.
