Working for the NHS has been an incredible journey over the last six years. I began my career in physiotherapy and enjoyed the emergency side of my job so much that I retrained as an emergency care practitioner for the Great Western Ambulance Service.
The ambulance service is often the frontline face of the NHS, providing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I love the hands on nature of my job and working with the rest of the team but, best of all, I really enjoy caring for patients.
I really want to thank the NHS for the amazing opportunities it has given me. The NHS is one of the most incredible organisations we have in the UK. It represents the best of us all - warmth, compassion, diversity and community. I would like to encourage more people to work for the NHS.
