I am a young, state registered biomedical scientist practicing in a haematology and blood transfusion laboratory in the busy Mayday hospital in south London. Despite it being challenging, I find my job fulfilling and I get a good sense of satisfaction from it.
Whilst at university reading for my biomedical science degree, I couldn't wait to get out into the real world to practice as biomedical scientist by analysing, interpreting and diagnosing a variety of haematological conditions. Ultimately helping the patients.
Outside of work, I enjoy sports and fitness and also recently took part in a charity walk to raise money and awareness of sickle cell anaemia.
The NHS has continued to give me fantastic opportunities to progress in a field that I am passionate about. I know that I will have a long and healthy career as a biomedical scientist in the NHS.
