Our nurses, therapists and support staff provide adult community health services in the mid and north west Surrey areas, and children’s community health services for the whole of the county. Together we serve a population of more than 1 million people.

In June 2017 our services received an overall ‘Good’ rating from the CQC, with ‘Outstanding’ for how caring our teams are.

We provide excellent training and development opportunities, including the care certificate, apprenticeships, numeracy and literacy courses, access to the Nursing Associate programme, and a wide variety of management and leadership courses and programmes. We also offer a supportive preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses and a well-established rotational programme for therapists. Our nurses and therapists also benefit from access to bespoke clinical skills courses.

CSH Surrey is seeking an excellent all round communications professional with a minimum three years’ relevant experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop in a busy communications department.

The successful candidate will support CSH Surrey’s two Communications Managers and work alongside a Communications Assistant to support delivery of communication and engagement programmes across adults’ and children’s services. They will also support corporate communications activities, including internal communications for CSH Surrey.

You will have excellent copy writing and editing skills and plenty of experience across a wide range of media and platforms. Your attention to detail and proof reading skills will be second to none.

You will enjoy and have proven PR and media experience (media monitoring, writing press releases, selling in stories, handling media enquiries) and feel comfortable using content management systems for digital platforms and supporting Twitter accounts. You will have stakeholder engagement experience (internal and external), including in relation to supporting change and service transformation.

We need someone who is able to work on their own initiative and can be relied upon to deliver high quality work and to deliver tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision. Access to a car is desirable as you will be required to attend meetings and support teams across Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the fast paced and challenging, but rewarding, NHS/health sector.
