Main duties of the job

The role is central to the delivery of medical education training programs and development of the wider clinical workforce, through collaborative working across disciplines and professions. The primary focus of the role is the professional development of medical students -- supporting clinical skills and knowledge achievement against clinical school curricula. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery, promotion, enhancement and evaluation of education through a variety of formats, including clinical skills training, knowledge enhancement and professional development. The post is suited to staff with strong knowledge and skills in specialist / advanced practice and those with experience in cardio-respiratory physiology.

The post is open to non-medical disciplines with relevant professional registration and will enable the right candidate to develop their own portfolio in practice development, training, education, leadership and management and as well as being supported in their own development as a member of the clinical education team. This is a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional development and is an exciting time to join the Royal Papworth.

Candidates will need to have membership of a regulated health care profession and have previous relevant clinical experience at Band 6/7 with evidence for supporting learning and development.
